The Changing China online course was developed to introduce teachers to key people, events, and understandings related to the study of modern China. In addition to the materials presented in Primary Source’s sourcebook entitled China in the World: a History Since 1644, this course will make use of readings, videos, and web-based resources to engage educators in some of the most current scholarship and thinking on modern China and its future on the world stage. The course assignments and discussion forums will provide an opportunity to share ideas with other participants and learn from shared experiences and a common interest in Chinese history, peoples, and cultures. We hope that this course will not only challenge you as learners, but that it will also provide you with concrete ideas, activities, and resources to bring back to your students.

Please feel free to contact the course facilitator if you have any questions. I will respond as soon as possible, but please allow 24-48 hours for responses on weekends.
